Ella's surgery rescheduled

The Carder family is feeling better now and we have been able to return to our regular routine of visiting Ella. Thank you all for your prayers for us.
Ella’s eating habits remain consistently inconsistent. We have scheduled her surgery to have a feeding tube put in on Monday at 12:30 at Cooks. They will also do an MRI on her shoulder either before the surgery or after (while she is still under anesthesia).

Although we are not thrilled about Ella having another surgery, we are at peace that this is what needs to be done. We are praying this surgery will move her closer down the road to recovery and ultimately get her home where she can recover quicker.

In times like this, it is easy to get down and just keep going to the Father with request after request after request. Believe me, we are doing that. However, recently, we have been moved to think about all we have to be thankful for. All of you who are keeping up with us and calling and praying are so special to us. Whether you know it or not, we believe God is using you to hold us up and carry us through.

I'm so glad you guys are feeling the Lord's peace . . .I pray it continues. This is just a short season of life - little Ella's life will be marked with many more memories and seasons that bring joy, laughter, carefree days, and family times. I pray this season will bring quick healing and resolution to her difficulties with eating! Please let me know if your Dr. recommends feeding therapy for your little one - I work with some of the best speech therapists in the business at Our Children's House at Baylor-Grapevine. We've seen so many sweet little ones like Ella - and the good news is they get better! She may not need the extra help, but just tuck it away that help is out there! Blessings, dear friends.

Prayed for you guys tonight at a church service we had asking the Lord to heal your sweet baby girl! We sang a song that has the line, "Nothing is impossible for you. . ." over and over again. I believe it. We have a GREAT God. Praying also for your peace and a good night of sleep for you 2 tonight. Looking forward to hearing how things go tomorrow!! Love you guys--

Praying for a successful surgery tomorrow and that Ella will be able to come home soon. I noticed that Jaymie Phillips commented on your blog and she has had a very long journey with this issue, among so many others. Maybe reading her stories will help you - you can link to her blog on Christine's. I just know and believe that God is using Ella for so many things and they He is in total control. This is a difficult time but He is there, guiding the doctors and keeping Ella safe. Hugs to all!
